Giclee Prints
About - Giclee (pronounced zhee-klay ) are generated from high resolution digital scans and printed with archival quality inks onto professional grade papers and canvas.
The Process - The giclee printing process provides better color accuracy than other means of production. Once an image is digitized, our Giclee prints are created using Epson Pro Large Format Printers using Ultra-Chrome K3 archival inks. The cutting edge technology of this printer iis capable of producing incredibly detailed prints from both fine art and photographic materials.
The Advantages - Giclee prints give artist the flexibliity to mass produce their works on a as needed or on-demand basis. Once we digitise your image, it remains on file for the artist to order more prints when desired. The high up-front costs of mass-production for an edition is eliminated. Archived files will not deteriorate in quality as negatives and film do. Another advantage of giclee printing is that digital images can be reproduced to almost any size giving the artist the option of customizing their work.
The Quality - The quality of the giclee print rivals traditional silver-halide and gelatin printing processes and giclee prints are commonly found in museums, art galleries, and photographic galleries.
The Market - Most major artist now sell signed and numbered Giclee prints. The costs vary depending on the artists popularity.
Gallery Wrap
This is a method of stretching an artist's canvas so that the canvas wraps around the sides and is secured to the back of the wooden frame. The frame can be made with 1/4, 5/8, 1" or 2' stretcher bars. The canvas is printed in a size to allow the image to continue on the sides of the canvas. This method of stretching and preparing a canvas allows for a frameless presentation of the finished painting. The image on the sides is either a continuation or a reflection of the main image.
